Peter Andiné has started a new project, NEUROFOR, Neurobiological studies of aggressive antisocial behavior in different forensic psychiatric groups of patients. The project will build on RPU 2.0 in collaboration with Thomas Nilsson at CELAM with follow-up in forensic psychiatric hospitals and in prisons. The main focus of the project is to clinically describe the group of patients with major mental disorders and impulsive violent behavior in combination with personality disorders, ADHD and substance use disorders, and to find a neurobiological substrate for their disinhibitory behavior. We are currently working with high density EEG and functional MRI. The project is implemented in collaboration with Märta Wallinius, Lund University and Rättspsykiatriska Region¬kliniken Växjö, Region Kronoberg, and Malin Björnsdotter, Magnus Thordstein and Alessio Degl’Innocenti at the University of Gothenburg and Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Three research students will work with the project; Carl Delfin, Rättspsykiatriska Regionkliniken Växjö, Region Kronoberg, and Hanna Kataoka and Anja Fernqvist from the National Board of Forensic Medicine, Gothenburg.
